DAILY Echo reader Susan Cotterill emailed us a few photos of the Bournemouth Pier Approach flyover during construction in 1972.
Before the trolleybuses ceased to run in Bournemouth, the Pier Approach was one of the main bus stops.
Plans to redevelop the area to become pedestrianised included the flyover so traffic could still have access.
In 1970 construction started and in 1972 the bridge was officially opened.
