A TOURING drive-in cinema is going to set up in Bradford during a three-month trip across the North of England.

Daisy Duke's Drive-in Cinema combines a nostalgic take on the classic 1950's American Drive-In theatres, with a unique contemporary set up - whilst adhering fully to current government guidelines.

Dates, a venue and the line-up of films planned for Bradford is yet to be announced.

A spokesman said: “As a company operating in an events industry that has seen a devastating downturn due to the coronavirus outbreak, we have had to adapt and pivot to a new way of working - much like everybody else.

"What was once seen as a dying industry has been revived due to the ongoing restrictions and we have already experienced a massive uptake for our debut weekend at York Racecourse and hometown showing on Teesside."

The current screening line-up includes The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Frozen, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Greatest Showman, A Star is Born, 28 Days Later, Pulp Fiction and Joker.

Movies will be shown on some of the biggest and best quality LED screens in the UK, with movie audio transmitted direct to the audience’s car radio.
