A BOURNEMOUTH based rock band has created a parody video of a song by rock duo Tenacious D to raise awareness of the #saveourvenues campaign.

Capulus, a four man band rock band with a sizeable following in Bournemouth, decided to create the quarantine parody of 'Tribute' by Tenacious D to support the nationwide #saveourvenues campaign and bring a smile to people's faces during these challenging times.

Front man Joshua Vaughan said: "We chose 'Tribute' as when we play our gigs around Bournemouth, it's one of our most requested songs. It's quite nostalgic and people love it. During this time it's important to put a smile on people's faces, especially as we made the parody with cardboard boxes!"

Capulus hope to raise awareness of the #saveourvenues campaign through their video, ensuring that popular venues local and nationwide remain open and supported.

Making people laugh during these challenging times is also something the band is keen to do through the parody.

Joshua explained: "It gives people a break from the doom and gloom of the news. And while the pandemic has been difficult for us, we have still been able to work on our musicianship.

"It's the best feeling seeing people enjoy what you're doing."
