A SALISBURY man is to appear in court following a series of offences including assaulting a police officer.
Officers were called to Blackfriars Way on Thursday following a report of a disorder.
Leon Lewis, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with two counts of assaulting an officer, causing a nuisance / disturbance on NHS premises without reasonable excuse, two counts of criminal damage and obstructing an officer in execution of duty.
He has been released on unconditional bail and is due to appear at South East Wiltshire Magistrates Court on June 26.
The officers assaulted suffered cuts and bruises but remained on duty.
