POLICE were given a range of excuses by bikers stopped on Castle Lane West, Bournemouth.
The two motorbikes were stopped at 47mph and 48mph in a 30mph zone.
They told police: “I’ve just finished work. I don’t normally ride like that.
“I wanted to get in front of the car before it went into one lane. I didn’t want be stuck behind the cars.”
Police said if any of the vehicles turned right into Cox Avenue they would have been dealing with a serious incident. Both riders were given tickets.
