A MAN has been fined after he used threatening words towards a woman at the Bournemouth Crown and County Courts building.
Michael Ian Millar appeared before magistrates in Poole on May 23 in relation to events that took place at the Courts of Justice in Deansleigh Road on August 23 last year.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 11.18am on Friday, August 23, 2019 raising concern for a person after threatening words were said at the Courts of Justice on Deansleigh Road in Bournemouth."
"Following enquiries, a 33-year-old Bournemouth man received a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court for an offence of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress."
Millar, of Birch Drive, Bournemouth, admitted the charge when he appeared before the courts on Saturday.
The defendant was issued with a £120 fine and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge.
