A COALITION of local organisations have been established to support businesses reopening across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Led by BCP Council, the ‘economic recovery task force’ will bring together the voices of key stakeholders in the local business community.
By working together, they aim to help local businesses resume trading in a safe and coordinated manner in the coming weeks and months.
Councillor Mark Howell, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Culture at BCP Council, said: “There was a need to develop a coordinated and collaborative response to the current challenge’s businesses are facing.
“Working with local community leaders and local business advocates, we are providing support to help businesses reopen safely for both staff and customers.’’
As well as the Bournemouth Echo, the organisations involved are: Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Christchurch BID Steering Group, Dorset Chamber, Bournemouth Chamber, Christchurch, Dorset LEP, DWP, Dorset Growth Hub, Federation of Small Businesses, Destination Management Board, Silicon South, Bournemouth Coastal BID and Bournemouth & Poole College.
