A MAN has been charged in relation to reported begging offences in Poole.
Officers have been investigating a series of reports over a man knocking on the doors of residents, including elderly and vulnerable members of the community, in the north Poole, West Howe and Merley areas.
A spokesperson from Poole Police reports that in some cases this was taking place late at night or in the early hours of the morning.
Following enquiries by local officers, a 20-year-old local man was charged with three offences of begging in a public place over reported incidents that occurred between Tuesday, May 5, and Friday, May 15.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 16.
