HEALTH officials have reminded the public that all services will be available to them this bank holiday weekend.

Pharmacies, hospital emergency departments and minor injuries units will all be operating for people who need them.

Minor injuries units at Wimborne, Swanage and Shaftesbury will be available by appointment only by calling 01305 762541 or 111. You can no longer just walk into these services.

If you or someone you are with has an emergency or is in a life-threatening situation, don’t hesitate call 999. For everything else, call 111 or go to 111 online.

Dr Karen Kirkham of the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, said: "Whilst we are grateful to everyone who is following the government guidance on social distancing and limiting contact with other people to reduce the spread of the virus, this has to be balanced with the need to access urgent help if people feel they need care this bank holiday weekend. Your local NHS is there to support you."
