A MAN has appeared in court after stealing hundreds of pounds of perfume from Boots as well as taking sandwiches and Red Bull from a Tesco store.

Jamie Colin Sharp, of West Hill Road, Bournemouth, admitted taking £488 worth of various perfumes from the Boots store in Commercial Road, Bournemouth, on December 13, 2019.

Appearing at Poole Magistrates' Court on Saturday, May 16, Sharp, aged 38, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £488 compensation.

He also admitted taking two sandwiches and ten cans of the energy drink, worth an overall total of £24.90, from the Tesco Express store in The Triangle on November 9, last year.

He was also discharged conditionally for this offence and ordered to pay pay £24.90 compensation.

The defendant also admitted failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail. Sharp was discharged conditionally for this offence.

He faced no further action for breaching a conditional discharge order that was imposed following two previous theft offences.
