MORE than 270 patients with coronavirus have now been discharged from the Royal Bournemouth and Poole hospitals.
274 patients have been discharged, 160 at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and 114 at Poole Hospital.
Leanne Aggas, head of nursing at RBH, said: “It’s incredibly positive that we’ve now discharged 160 patients from our hospital after treatment for Covid-19 and we are so grateful to our communities for all they have done to protect the NHS at this time.
“While it is fantastic to be sharing this good news, we need people to continue to support us over the bank holiday by avoiding crowds, being sensible and adhering to social distancing rules.
“Please do enjoy the lovely weather, but make sure you are staying safe. The beaches will still be here later in the year.”
One of the patients discharged from RBH said: “I am acutely aware my care involved not only the professionalism and compassion of individual staff but the effective operation of the teams and organisation as a whole.
“The NHS in my view has excelled through this crisis.”
