A MAN and a woman have both denied charges of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Michael Myles, aged 63 and of Argyll Road, Bournemouth, and Kathleen Ward, aged 43 and of Hamilton Road, Bournemouth, are accused of the offences in relation to an alleged stabbing in Boscombe on April 19.

A plea and trial preparation hearing was held at Winchester Crown Court yesterday.

Judge Keith Cutler, Recorder of Winchester, adjourned the case after fixing a trial date for October 12.

Myles and Ward were remanded into custody.

As reported, police were called to Argyll Road just after 2am on Sunday April 19 to reports that a man in his 50s had suffered stab wounds to his chest and neck.

A man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
