A MOPED rider spotted driving along a pavement and down a path into a cricket ground received a warning from police.
The 50-year-old was spotted in Broadstone on Friday May 15 by officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team.
"We dealt with a male seen riding his moped on the pavement on the Ridgeway in Broadstone" said a spokesman.
"He was then seen to drive through a pedestrian gate into the grounds of Broadstone cricket pitch and down the path. We couldn't believe what we were seeing.
"All for a short cut to Charborough Road some 30 seconds away."
The man was issued with a section 59 warning and a Notice of Intended prosecution.
