POUNDLAND will reopen its Poole High Street branch tomorrow as part of its Operation Sleeping Beauty campaign to bring stores out of hibernation.
On Monday the company reopened 34 stores across the country and Poole is one of another 15 now set to open to customers.
Poundland hopes to have all of its stores open within weeks.
Some branches have remained open throughout the lockdown but others were put into hibernation.
There will be marshals at the door to limit the number of customers in the store at any one time and floors markes to help people maintain social distancing.
Checkout staff will be protected by screens and rigorous hygiene routines will be in place.
Retail director Austin Cooke said: “We’ve been encouraged by the response from customers hearing about our stores coming out of hibernation this week.
"Our colleagues are glad to be back at work in their stores and we know customers are reassured by the protection measures we’ve put in place so their local Poundland can open again."
In normal times, Poundland attracts seven million shoppers a week to its stores across the UK.
