A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash in North Dorset.
Police were called to a report of a crash involving a van and a motorcycle at Spread Eagle Hill near Melbury Abbas at 8.04am this morning.
Officers attended the scene, assisted by the ambulance service.
The extent of the man's injuries are not yet known.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
It reopened at around 11.30am.
Dorset Police said: "A 22-year-old man from the Blandford area has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries."
