POLICE have responded to several reports of off-road motorcycles riding in and around Merley.
A neighbourhood police team officer has issued a warning to the owner of the bike in a bid to discourage this behaviour.
A post on the Poole Police Facebook said: “Following several reports of nuisance off road motorcycles riding in and around Merley village, NPT officer has issued a police warning notice to the owner, which applies to both him and his bike.
“Off road bikes can only be used on private land with permission of land owner.
“Riding on public land is illegal and could result in points on licence, fine and exorbitant insurance costs on other vehicles.
“Don't run the risk, it's dangerous, antisocial and illegal.”
