SEVERAL chickens were snatched from a property in Dorset.

Police officers are investigating the poultry theft, which took place near Sherborne.

The chickens were stolen from an enclosure at a smallholding in the area of Poyntington at around 6.45pm on Wednesday, April 8.

Following enquiries, officers have obtained images of a man captured on a wildlife camera in the area at the time of the offence and a vehicle, believed to be a black Kia Sportage.

The car left the scene in the direction of Oborne following the incident.

Officers have released images of a man they would like to speak to.

PC Pete Moore, of Sherborne police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and I am now in position to release images of a man we would like to speak to and one of the images also shows the vehicle seen at the scene.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
