A KEBAB delivery driver was stopped by police and found to have no driving licence – but he was listed on the car's insurance policy.

Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse Team had been travelling back to Poole after patrolling in Bournemouth on Sunday evening when they conducted a check on the Renault.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly said he had lived in the UK for eight years and "never bothered to get a driving licence from DVLA".

An officer from the police team said the man had claimed he had not driven in this period except on this occasion as his colleagues were on holiday.

While he was on the insurance policy, police seized the vehicle as he did not hold a licence.
