FOUR people reportedly tried to break into a unit at the Wimborne Industrial Estate in Mill Lane.
The police helicopter and dog unit were tasked to find the offenders, but were unsuccessful.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 10.27pm on Sunday, May 10 to a report of a possible break-in in progress at the Wimborne Industrial Estate on Mill Lane.
“It was reported that four people were seen to enter the site and attempt to gain access to one of the units before making off in the direction of the Co-op after being disturbed by an alarm sounding.
“Officers attended along with the NPAS police helicopter and police dog unit and made searches of the area, but no the offenders were not located.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
