A CAFÉ bar in Bournemouth has reopened its terrace for people to use when waiting for a takeaway order.

Flirt Café Bar, in The Triangle, confirmed in a Facebook post the terrace will open Thursday to Saturday, 10am until 4pm, but emphasised the importance of customers’ safety.

Stephen Golding, chef, said: “We had a lot of feedback from customers regularly asking if we would open for coffees and milkshakes and it was something we decided to do.

“We have started off doing three days doing ten until four to review it and review the hours.

“We are doing a limited drink and food menu.

“There will be limited sitting on the decking and we are not doing delivery.”

Mr Golding said they are not expecting any changes to how they operate despite the outcome of Boris Johnson’s address to the nation on Sunday.

“We thought we would see how it goes,” he continued.

“There will probably be three members of staff.

“All of our staff will wear masks and we have sanitiser station.”
