A THREE Legged Cross resident drove his car for 24 hours to raise money for the NHS - but he undertook the challenge with his old Scalextric set.
Lee Fossey, a former Ambulance Service worker in Dorset, wanted to raise money for NHS Charities Together during these challenging times.
Lee's experience within the charity sector and discovery of his old Scalextric set led him to take on this gruelling challenge.
He said: "I knew I had a Scalextric knocking about so I thought it would be a good challenge. Jadlam Racing Models (a toy/model company who specialises in Scalextric) have been behind me and my challenge from the start."
Despite enjoying using his Scalextric, driving a car non-stop for 24 hours proved to be very arduous.
Lee explained: "The first hour and last 15 minutes were very enjoyable. Everything in-between then was really hard work."
In total, 74 and a half miles were covered from 6pm May 2 to 6pm May 3.
