THERE is currently ‘high availability’ at the Creekmoor coronavirus testing site, according to the Department for Health and Social Care.

The DHSC tweeted confirming they are expanding testing and said there is high availability at 13 sites across the UK.

At the time of writing, the Creekmoor Park & Ride site had 635 slots available for the next five days.

Elsewhere in Dorset, the Blandford site, located at Marsh and Ham Car Park, West Street, had 96 slots available.

Testing was also happening in Dorchester, at the Fairfield Car Park in Weymouth Avenue.

167 slots were available at that site.

Test slots can be booked online through a government portal.

These are currently available to:

• All essential workers including NHS and social care workers with symptoms

• Anyone over 65 with symptoms

• Anyone with symptoms whose work cannot be done from home (for example, construction workers, shop workers, emergency plumbers and delivery drivers)

The pop-up facilities are manned by the armed forces and open to essential workers.
