THE police helicopter was used to trace a woman who had gone missing from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Emergency services were alerted at 7.13pm last night following a report of a concern for the welfare of a woman.
It was later reported that the woman was believed to be in the area of Poole Lane in West Howe.
Searches were carried out by officers on the ground, supported by the NPAS helicopter, and the woman was found just before 10pm.
She has since been given appropriate care.
