ORGANISERS of Swanage Carnival say they are "still hoping" to hold the popular event this year.
No dates have been set in stone for the 2020 carnival as yet.
Currently organisers say they will be making a final decision regarding the running of the event by mid-May.
In a statement they said: "We are still hoping to go ahead with Carnival 2020.
"Our plan is to make a final decision regarding the running of our event by mid-May.
"Our priority is to ensure we can run a safe event. We continue to monitor the situation regarding Covid-19 and are awaiting official guidance in relation to holding future events.
"In the meantime, stay safe, stay home and look forward to Carnival time."
