Nettlestone Primary School staff have worked together on a video to share with the children at their school.

The video aims to bring a smile to the faces of pupils and their families, and features individual shots of staff members cleverly woven together, dancing to the song Happy, by Pharrell Williams.

"Head of school, Anna Jacobs, wanted to do something so the children knew we were all thinking of them," said teacher, Laura Feist.

"We came up with several ideas before deciding on this one.

"The response from parents and children has been wonderful — they all said they loved seeing our faces.

"We can't believe it's hit nearly 2,000 views in less than 24 hours."

In the build-up to Easter, the school has also set the children a challenge — to decorate a boiled egg and submit their design to its Facebook page.

"We are always thinking of other ways we can keep in touch with our school community and involve the children," said Laura.

"Staff have been busy helping the children still learn while at home.

"We're providing good morning video messages using the learning platform in school, reading stories, and also carrying out weekly phone calls to ensure the children are all okay."
