A further 11 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Dorset have died.

Another death has been reported at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, bringing the total number to nine.

Two further deaths have been recorded by Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, bringing the total to four.

A spokesman for Dorset Healthcare, which runs services across the county, said it couldn't name a specific hospital due to patient confidentiality, and that it is reporting all deaths related to Covid-19 at a trust level.

Five further people have died at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and another three deaths have been reported at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, bringing the totals to 15 and 13 respectively.

Overall, the total number of people who've died after testing positive for coronavirus in Dorset is 41.

It comes as NHS England reports a further 758 people who tested positive for the virus have died in England, bringing the total to 5,655.

Patients were aged between 23 and 102 years old, and 29 of the 758 patients - aged between 23 and 99-years-old - had no known underlying health conditions.
