Police are searching for the driver of a car that was involved in a chase through Dorchester last night.
Residents were disturbed by the incident at about 11.30pm as three police cars chased the car through the town, assisted by a police helicopter overhead.
The video was taken by 19-year-old Dorchester resident Liam King. He said: "At first I was playing Xbox then I started hearing tyres screeching at me from the window this was about 11pm so I dashed to the window, got my camera out and started filming the events from the window.
"I saw police flying past my window and I stayed at the window to see if more events would unfold and again they drove past my window.
"That’s when I noticed a helicopter that circled Dorchester for over 30 minutes hopefully everyone involved in the incident are all okay."
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police received a report at 11.33pm on Thursday, April 2 of a vehicle driving at excessive speed in the area of Cromwell Road in Dorchester. The vehicle then failed to stop for police.
"It was subsequently located by officers unattended on Monmouth Road. The vehicle was seized.
"A search of the area was carried out, with assistance from a dog unit and the NPAS helicopter, however the driver was not located.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
