DORSET residents once again took to their doorsteps, gardens and streets to celebrate NHS staff, carers and key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
For the second week running, Clap For Our Carers took place at 8pm on Thursday.
There were wonderful scenes outside Poole Hospital where firefighters and police clapped and sounded their sirens as a thank you to NHS workers.
Crews from Westbourne Fire Station were among those who attended, and they took to Twitter to share footage of the emotional moment.

These pics were sent to us from one of our amazing nurses, whose Mum and Dad did this for her at their home near Surrey. Leanne says “it’s one of the hardest feelings to not see them, but this feels like some positivity amongst the chaos.” 💙 #ClapforourCarers #ClapforKeyworkers pic.twitter.com/NxWLpSvlTj

While outside the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, a massive screen was left outside on a trailer with the message "thank you NHS".
To whoever arranged this, thank you! Full of pride for our staff, and community support means so very much to us 💙 #ThursdayMotivation #clapforourcarers #ClapForTheNHS https://t.co/CXFGtlz4MQ
