THREE further deaths from coronavirus have been reported at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.

The first death from coronavirus was reported at DCH last Saturday.

This was a 72-year-old woman who had underlying health conditions.

It has now been confirmed three further patients died this week.

No further details of the patients have been disclosed by health officials.

Public Health Dorset said three further patients, who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), sadly passed away at Dorset County Hospital (DCH) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

A spokesperson for DCH said: “Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ family and loved ones. Out of respect for their privacy we will not be commenting further.”

Public Heath figures released today reveal there has been 1 more case of coronavirus in the Dorset Council area, bringing the total to 30.

The number of confirmed cases in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole authority area has risen from 20 to 25.

It means the overall number of cases in the county now stands at 55.
