AROUND 50 planes have been parked at Bournemouth Airport recently, as a large number of flights are grounded due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Not something you see everyday. @British_Airways jets all lined up at @BOHAirport basking in the sun. Not quite to the @rafredarrows standards but a good effort. @BournemouthFire ^SM pic.twitter.com/3108tDQcoI

Most of the planes are British Airways or Virgin Atlantic and can be seen parked by the fence the other side of Parley Lane.
Many of the flights were tracked coming from Heathrow, and it is not known how long they will be there for.
A number of people saw the planes coming into land and took to Twitter to post about the situation.

Steve Morrissey tracked one of the planes online and said: “The first of many British Airways aircraft is about to leave Heathrow for Bournemouth Airport to be laid up until the end of the coronavirus problem. ETA 25 mins.”
Chris Gleed-Owen said: “LHR is obviously too full too, as a lot of BA’s fleet is currently parked up at Bournemouth Airport, it being one of the longest runways in the country.”
A spokesperson for British Airways said: “Things continue to change very day so we’re not updating on schedule changes/parking arrangements.”
