Elvis tribute act Ben Thompson
WITH the suspension of major events across the area the UK Elvis Tribute Artist Championships have had to be postponed.
The competition, Follow That Dream, was scheduled to take place at the Pavilion Theatre ballroom on May 22-24, with special guest appearances from tributes such as Ben Thompson – the 2018 world champion – and Ciaran Houlihan.
The winner of the Bournemouth Echo competition for two free tickets for the event was Roger Fry of Vinney's Close, Burton, but he will now have to wait a while to enjoy the prize.
The championships, which were set to see more than 20 Elvis tribute acts compete, have been rescheduled for May 21-23, 2021.
