Those trying to contact Dorset Police are being urged to be patient as its 101 service is down.

The force says it's experiencing technical issues with its 101 non-emergency telephone service.

A spokesman said: "We are asking callers to be patient as this is resolved.

"Please keep trying or contact us at crowd.in/Rd7S10 ."

You can also email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk.

101 is used to report crime and other concerns that do not require an emergency response. For example, if:

  • Your car has been stolen
  • Your property has been damaged
  • You suspect drug use or dealing in your neighbourhood

Or to:

  • Give the police information about crime in your area
  • Speak to the police about a general enquiry

The 999 emergency service is unaffected.
