PASSENGERS were delayed for around an hour after a train struck a bike on the track between Bournemouth and Christchurch.
Cross Country Trains and South Western Railway both alerted passengers following the incident at around 8.30pm last night.
A train driver initially reported that he had struck a supermarket trolley but it was then discovered that it was a bike.
Services returned to normal after around an hour.
