THERE are lots of events coming up at a museum in Dorchester.

Shire Hall Courthouse Museum, which is located on High West Street, has plenty of events scheduled for the following few months starting with a Mother’s Day afternoon tea session.

On Sunday March 22, the Shire Hall café will provide food ranging from finger sandwiches to Eton mess and this food can be accompanied by tea and even a glass of fizz.

Tickets are £12.50 per head and must be bought in advance.

Shire Hall will also have a Teas and Talks on the 'Benefits of Example' on Sunday, April 26.

The talk will delve into why the use of exemplary justice was still taking place as late as 1830 and talking about the local impact of it. The tickets are £6.

Sunday June 28 will see another Tea and Talks titled Whispers and Cries.

The lecture will trace the evolution of the British courtroom from the 18th to 19th century whilst exploring the relationships between the everyone in the court and understanding courts such as Shire Hall.
