POLICE have arrested two teenagers on suspicion of robbery and seized a BB gun and a knife following an incident at a Southampton convenience store.
Officers say they were called to reports of a robbery at the Co-op store in Portsmouth Road, Sholing, at around 9pm yesterday (Saturday, March 7).
Police say two males entered the store and threatened staff.
Cigarettes and tobacco were then stolen.
Officers attended and later arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, both from Southampton, on suspicion of robbery.
Both remain in police custody.
A BB gun and a knife were seized.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.08pm on Saturday 7 March to a report of a robbery at the Co-op store in Portsmouth Road, Sholing.
"Two males entered the store and threatened staff. Cigarettes and tobacco were stolen.
"Officers attended and later arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, both from Southampton, on suspicion of robbery.
"Both remain in police custody. A BB gun and a knife were seized.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
