SOUTH Western Railway are offering free travel for Flybe customers and colleagues following the news that the airline collapsed into administration.

Free travel will be available for customers and colleagues between March 5 and 11 travelling in either direction between Poole or Portsmouth to London Waterloo, Southampton Airport Parkway to London Waterloo and Exeter to London Waterloo.

Customers will need to present a ticket or boarding pass dated between March 5 and 11, and colleagues must show their Flybe ID.

Alan Penlington, customer experience director at SWR, said: “We are glad we can support Flybe customers and colleagues by allowing them to travel for free on our services and make their planned journey.”

Sharon Johnston, HR director at SWR, added: “We’re sorry to hear of the collapse of Flybe, especially the impact this will have on its 2,000 colleagues.

“We’re always on the lookout for great people to help us deliver great journeys, so would encourage Flybe colleagues to take a look at some of the great roles we have here at South Western Railway.”
