A POOLE home was severely damaged when a tumble dryer caught fire yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews from Poole, Hamworthy and Wimborne were called to an address in Twin Oaks Close in Broadstone just after 2pm.
They tackled the kitchen fire using four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet and a thermal imaging camera.
Crews praised the actions of the occupants who closed doors inside the property as they left.
