A TEENAGE girl who sent threatening messages to a witness of a criminal offence has appeared in court.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named but lives in the Kinson area of Bournemouth, appeared at the youth court in Poole on Tuesday.

She admitted sending the victim messages via social media in order to intimidate her and to pervert the course of justice.

The offences were committed at an address in Bournemouth on January 13, it was heard. The girl was made the subject of a youth rehabilitation order with eight days of reparation. A restraining order protecting the victim until August 2021 was also made.
