A 70-YEAR-OLD woman caught driving at 34 miles an hour above the speed limit has been handed four points.
Jeanette Bird, of Chigwell Road, Bournemouth, was driving a Ford on the M1 at Northampton when she was caught belting through a 50 mile per hour speed limit.
The defendant was caught driving at 84mph, Poole Magistrates' Court heard this week.
Bird was caught in a variable speed limit zone. She was convicted of speeding this week.
Magistrates handed her a £130 fine, a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
Her driving record was also endorsed with points.
