RAIL passengers have been warned to expect problems for another ten days after repair works to tracks drag on.
As reported, travellers using the Weymouth to London Waterloo line have faced delays and disruption after a freight train derailed at Eastleigh earlier this month.
Although it was hoped the problem could be quickly resolved, the track was badly damaged, and work is still going on.
Officials from South Western Railways have now warned that disruption is expected until the end of the day on Saturday, February 29. Until then, trains are more likely than usual to be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Temporary repairs to the railway through Eastleigh have been made to enable a partial resumption of services but as a result, not all services will be able to call at the station.
