A MAN was found dead inside a bank on Thursday morning.

Police and paramedics were called to Lloyds Bank in Shaftesbury High Street just before 9am.

The branch was cordoned off while officers investigated. However, it is understood the bank will be open again today.

Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called to a report of the sudden death of a man at Lloyds Bank on High Street in Shaftesbury.

"The man’s next of kin are yet to be informed. The coroner has been notified.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious."

Officials from South Western Ambulance Service said paramedics were called at 8.45am.
