1 Light Up Poole, the town’s annual festival of digital light art, returns tonight and runs until Saturday. Local, emerging and international artists have responded to this year’s theme, Spectrum, and a series of installations and projections will illuminate the historic old town, urban high street and waterfront each evening. 2 Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure opens tonight at Bournemouth Pavilion and runs until Sunday. Performances of the aerial extravaganza are at 2pm and 7pm each day. Tickets range from £16.25 to £26.50, available from BH Live.

3 At 7pm tomorrow, The Salvation Army will present a festival of music from the talented and enthusiastic young people who make up the Territorial Youth Band and Choir. The family-friendly Youth Makes Music show will feature a programme of predominantly Christian music and takes place at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts. Tickets are £10.35 or £6.50 for under-18s, available from the venue.

4 Also at Lighthouse tomorrow night will be jazz singer Sarah Moule and the Simon Wallace trio. The performers will present new arrangements of Duke Ellington and Bill Strayhorn songs, with a selection of tracks by Simon and the legendary American lyricist Fran Landesman. The toe-tapping show starts at 8pm and tickets are available at £19.75 or £16 for concessions.

5 Local rock band Saints of Sin will perform at The Old Fire Station, Bournemouth, tomorrow evening. The group’s new album fuses rock with hints of pop and R&B to create a unique and distinctive sound. Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets are available for £10.

6 An exhibition entitled Beyond the Brotherhood: The Pre-Raphaelite Legacy will open tomorrow at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, Bournemouth. Existing artworks in the museum’s collection will be joined by masterpieces from national collections to highlight the importance of the Pre-Raphaelite movement and its influence on artistic developments. The gallery is open 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Admission is £7.50.

7 Fightstar Pro Wrestling returns to The Barrington Theatre, Ferndown, with the annual Gold Rush tournament on Saturday. Champion Jay Knox, Portuguese star Red Eagle, Danny Disorder and Scott Jones will battle it out from 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 for adults, £9 for concessions and £36 for a family of four.

8 Head to a singalong screening of The Greatest Showman at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, on Sunday. Sing your heart out with lyrics on screen and a live host teaching you some dance moves. The movie starts at 2pm and tickets are £17.75 for adults and £13.75 for under-18s.

9 Stand-up comedian Ahir Shah will perform at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, on Sunday at 8pm. His brand new show, DOTS, explores love, politics, depression, and faith through Ahir’s trademark blend of philosophical inquiry, personal examination, and really funny jokes. Tickets are £13.75, available from the venue website or box office.
