CAN you give these pets a home?

These pets are currently residents at Dorset based Margaret Green Animal Rescue.

Bournemouth Echo:

Betty is a 14-year-old sweet lady cat who would love to be somebody’s companion. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home but might be ok to live with older children.

Bournemouth Echo:

Flossy the cat is eight-years-old and a nervous little lady looking for a quiet forever home. She has bonded well with one of the staff members and she is allowed to touch her but it does take a while to gain Flossy’s trust. She would need to be the only pet.

Bournemouth Echo:

Sooty is an 11 year old cat who is a sweet, active lad who would need to be the only pet. He really dislikes dogs and so, might be a little naughty to dogs in the neighbourhood. Sooty would like a home with no small children.

To rehome any of these pets please call Church Knowle Rehoming and Visitor Centre on 01929 480474.

Bournemouth Echo:

Marian, a four-year-old female ex-racing greyhound is looking for a loving home (and sofa) to call her own. As an ex-racer it has taken her a little while to adjust to a new lifestyle but she now loves going out for walks. Once she knows you Marian is very affectionate and could live with other sighthounds, older children but not with cats or small furries.

Bournemouth Echo:

Marley is an eight-year-old female crossbreed whose three favourite things are running, having cuddles and curling up in a cosy bed. She enjoys the company of other dogs and so could live with a like-minded male, older children and possibly cats.

Bournemouth Echo:

Pixie is an 18-month-old female Terrier who’s a little shy at first but once she knows you she is a little sweetie. Pixie has pulmonic stenosis, which is a defect that causes a narrowing of the blood vessel leaving the right side of the heart that goes on to supply the lungs. She has seen a specialist cardiologist who carried out a detailed scan to look into this further and this determined that she is clinically well and likely to lead a full and active life but the condition will need to be monitored. She could live with a calm male dog and older calm children but not with cats.
