PASSENGERS using South Western Railway have been offered the chance to join the new customer council.
The ‘customer council’ feeds back directly to the company’s senior management.
Members will feedback on and develop new projects and initiatives and get involved with local council activities and events.
They will also be able to speak up about timetable changes and how delays are dealt with, and can challenge decisions made by SWR.
The council is made up of six members, including the existing Chair Geoffrey Bignell, and it’s looking for five new representatives.
Council members will receive free standard class travel on SWR services.
Mr Bignell said: “It’s a great opportunity for passengers to get involved and help influence decisions about how services, new initiatives and projects are delivered across the network. I look forward to receiving applications from our customers.”
