CITY dance music collective FooR have produced the music for the new Coors Light TV advert.

Fresh, a track by the Southampton favourites, alongside Majestic & Dread MC, is the music for Keep It Fresh, the first brand new campaign from the light beer, brewed in the United States, in six years.

The ad, which launched on Saturday, has been shown during Love Island and Premier League clashes on Sky Sports, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, as well as on radio and in cinemas.

The track is now sitting at number ten in the dance charts and is expected to enter the Official UK charts this weekend.

Urban rapper Tyrone, who also extols the virtues of Southampton in his collaboration Tyrone & Warbz, told the Daily Echo: "They contacted us direct back in November after seeing Fresh on You Tube. We didn't think it was real at first. It's been a long process, but we finally found out in November that it was definitely going to happen.

"It's something we were really excited about, but we didn't expect it to be so big so quickly. We might be able to break into the official charts on Friday if this continues."

Fronted by Gavin Foord and Tyrone, with Aki and Jon Doe, FooR are all from Southampton.

Championed by the likes of Radio 1’s MistaJam and DJ Target, FooR have released a handful of singles and remixed the likes of Wretch32, Tinchy Stryder and Ghetts.

They have all been friends for 15 years – since they were kids.

Once they hit their teens they started making music together and then throwing parties, first locally, and then across the South Coast.

Now, the Southampton based collective of producers, musicians, DJs, and MCs are at the forefront of the current UK Garage revival and have also become UK Garage’s fastest rising stars on the live circuit.

The last few years have seen them play at various festivals and events around the UK and Europe including Common People, Boomtown Garage Nation Festival, Pierjam, Amnesia Ibiza, Aqua Club in Ayia Napa and Island Club in Kavos.
