A COUNCIL-owned car was caught out by the bad weather as it got stuck in the sand on Southbourne beach.
The white Vauxhall Corsa got stuck during the rough weather on Wednesday night and was still there at midday yesterday.
Ray Jones posted in a Facebook group: “The council have been telling people not to take bikes, pushchairs or wheelchairs onto the path by the sea.
“This morning I found an abandoned council van stuck in deep sand.”
A spokesperson for BCP Council said: “We’ve talked to the team, and it is a security vehicle that normally patrols across the seafront. In (Wednesday) night’s weather unfortunately it has got stuck. Recovery is in progress.”
