INFLATABLE hot tubs worth £15,000 were loaded into a stolen van which was later found ablaze, police say.

Officers are calling for information about a burglary in North Dorset sometime between 1am on Saturday, February 8 and 2pm the following day, Sunday.

During the incident, which happened at Ambassador Pools and Spas in West Stour, 30 boxed hot tubs, along with their pumps and power units, were taken from a container.

The tubs were loaded into a van, which was also stolen from the business. A tracking device on the vehicle shows it was driven towards Gillingham. It stopped in the Highgrove area for around 45 minutes.

The van was then driven to Stourhead, where it was set on fire.

PC Warren Cummings, of North Dorset police, said he is "really keen" to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time.

"Additionally, I would urge anyone who comes across any inflatable hot tubs for sale in unusual circumstances to please get in touch," he said.
