SANDBANKS Ferry have announced that due to decreasing conditions and a rising tide, services will be suspended for about two hours.

Once the weather has improved and safety is ensured, the service will be back up and running as soon as possible.

A number of flood warnings have also been issued for Dorset, with Poole Harbour a main area likely to flood.

The Environmental Agency are urging people to "be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads as large waves could be dangerous."

A spokesperson added: "Flooding is possible at this time, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide."
