The only major Gang Show between Exeter and Southampton and one of only 125 Gang Shows left in the entire country, is ready to take to the stage once again when the Christchurch Scouts and Guides present their Gang Show at the town’s Regent Centre on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February 7.15pm, with a matinee on Saturday 2.15pm.

The Christchurch Scout & Guide Gang show is one of the longest running in Britain, having begun life way back in April 1960 at the Priory Church Hall, before moving to the old Town Hall in 1963, Twynham School in 1969 and latterly the Regent Centre in 1998. This will be their 41tst Christchurch Gang Show over the 60-year period. The Christchurch Scout & Guide Gang Show is now produced every two years.

The Christchurch Scout & Guide Gang Show 2020 promises to be bigger and better than ever and this year there is a cast of 78 from the Christchurch area! There will be a non-stop extravaganza of songs, dance routines, sketches, skits, slapstick, and stand-up comedy as the Christchurch Scouts and Guides put their best foot forward on the Regent Centre stage.

Since Ralph Reader produced the very first Gang Show in Great Britain in 1932, it has become a worldwide showcase for young people. The Gang Show provides youngsters with stage experience, team building with adults, the discipline of learning and rehearsing scripts, plus a lot of fun entertaining others.
