A BODY has been found in the search for Daniel Peay who went missing in Swanage.
A missing person appeal had been issued by police after they received a report at 8.10am on Tuesday raising concern for welfare of 35-year-old Mr Peay.
Information had suggested he may have been in the Old Harry Rocks area.
A body of a man was located at around 10.45am today, approximately five miles south west of The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
Whole the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Mr Peay, Dorset Police said.
His family has been informed and is being supported by officers. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Chief Inspector Steve Yeoman, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“We would like to thank everyone who assisted with searches, including HM Coastguard and the RNLI, and those who shared our appeal.”
